Actual sample itineraries are difficult to suggest since we customize every visit to suit our clients travel schedule and interests in Illinois Amish Country. We have handled many multi day adventures into Central Illinois that commonly include: the Illinois Amish Country, Abraham Lincoln, The Little Theatre, Quilt tours, shopping, and food and wine tours. The following is just one combination and time schedule that we have used on two night visits recently for clients. Any of the activities in it can be incorporated into a custom visit for your group. We have developed many variations similar to this for specific clients and have a number of additional offerings that may be included.
Day One:
Whenever you arrive in Amish Country, most commonly in the afternoon, Arrive at your selected accommodations. (We can help here with your selection)
5:30 p.m. Have dinner in an Amish home.
8 p.m. Enjoy live equity theatre at The Little Theatre on the square in Sullivan.
Day Two:
by 8 a.m. Continental Breakfast at your accommodations.
8:30 a.m. Your guide will meet you at your motel and begin your tour of the area. Visit the Harris Agricultural Museum in Atwood, Illinois. You will see vintage tractors, engines, also replicas of a 1920’s Midwestern farm kitchen, a grain elevator office, and a blacksmith shop.

10 a.m. Enjoy a large, home cooked breakfast meal at another Amish home outside of Arthur. After the meal take a tour of the Amish farm with your guide and Amish host and learn about Amish farm life.
11:45 p.m. Continue on the driving portion of the tour seeing more Amish homes and cottage businesses.
3 p.m. Arrive back in downtown Arthur, the heart of Central Illinois Amish Country. Enjoy shopping at the downtown businesses.
5 p.m. Have dinner at Yoder’s Restaurant in Arthur or out at Rockome Gardens just east of town.
Day Three:
8:00 a.m. Continental Breakfast at your accommodations.
8:30 a.m. Board your coach with your guide for a Lincoln experience.
10 p.m. Drive to Decatur to visit the Lincoln Trail and Homestead Park where the Lincoln family first settled in Illinois after moving from their farm in Southern Indiana.
11:30 p.m. Visit the Lincoln Presidential Library, his Law Offices, and Lincoln’s Home and the rest of historic downtown Springfield where Lincoln started.
4 p.m. Return to you accommodations or depart for your next destination or check in at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Springfield, Illinois.
