Richard Herschberger Photo Tours

Meet our artist in residence, Richard Herschberger. In this video clip, Rich talks a bit about his motivation and background.

You can schedule a tour with Rich as your guide by contacting us at ACM Tours. Rich's photo tours can be as involved or last as long as you desire, from a couple of hours, up to a full day.

Richard will show you his world, and help you see it thru a new vision. Bring your camera. This personal experience will gain entry into a more private and personal side of the Arthur Amish Country.

Schedule: Photo Tours must be scheduled in advance, and are subject to Richards availability. Contact ACM Tours about your dates of interest.

Duration:   90 minutes- Adults $50 / Youth (8-17): $35
                Half day (4 hour) $120
                Full day(8 hour) $195 per adult

While Richard has open permissions for many locations, there may be minor gratuities requested for access to visit special barns, homes or etc depending on the extent of the visit.

Private tours, customized or larger group tours are available by special request. We are happy to arrange themed excursions to peak your interests. Consider a detailed barn visit, a horse farming theme, or sunrise/sunset opportunities. Richard in part specializes in florals, and Amish country has a lot of flower gardens to work with. In short, if you have a special photo interest, we can probably work a themed photo visit around your interests. -Tours start from downtown Arthur at the Villa Galleries. -Bring snacks or drinks. There are no scheduled stops on the tour, except full day tours, to buy food or beverages, but we will try to accommodate you as best we can if you are interested in doing so. -Photo tours can be customized for wheelchairs. -Tours are only conducted in English with a little bit of Dutch thrown in. -Since we may be in private homes and businesses, pets are not allowed. When scheduling please remember that cell phones and unhappy children may be a distraction to other participants.

Arthur is an easy to get to! Arthur is just 9 miles west off I-57 at exit 202 (Arcola), 30 minutes South of Champaign, IL (I-72 & I-74) and just 40 minutes north of Effingham, IL and the I-70/I-57 junction
